When the
atlas is subluxated or misaligned, the first step in the
treatment process is to set it back in its proper place. This is
accomplished with a precision instrument while the patient lies
comfortably on a specially designed, adjustable table. It is a
gentle, painless method that is scientifically calculated
according to the x-ray studies. With the Atlas Orthogonal
Machine, no forceful manipulation is ever employed or needed.
After the atlas is set, a second
strength test shows greatly improved results as nerve
interferences are relieved. The doctor then gently stretches the
neck and shoulder muscles to help relieve any residual tension.
Spinal Adjustment
The second step in the
treatment process is to adjust the rest of the spine. This
treatment most often takes place on the day after having the
atlas set. There are several different methods of adjustment
employed depending on the location and severity of subluxation.
